What a privilege it is to continue serving at Seven Oaks Elementary GLOBAL Magnet school! Having the opportunity to grow with children, families and staff as we learn to communicate, create and collaborate together is an exciting adventure, indeed. I am grateful for and proud to be a member of such a positive learning community where we practice being safe, responsible and respectful in all of our learning spaces and places.
I am a proud Hokie at heart as I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Child Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Early in my teaching career, I developed a passion for mentor leadership and decided to earn a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia located in Charlottesville, Virginia. As a servant-leader, it is my joy to support teachers and families in helping our students engage in learning opportunities that grow their minds and hearts so that they are successful in their classrooms, homes and communities. When I leave my school family, I head home to three precious children and a pup named Fritz. I enjoy attending my children’s sporting events - volleyball, basketball, soccer and golf. We love to play games together, have dance parties, and we all agree that beach-time is the best time for the Johnsons!

I am so excited to continue working with our amazing students, parents, teachers and staff in our Seven Oaks Community. I believe that it takes a village to educate our youth; so I look forward to building relationships in the community, and celebrating our students’ progress.
A little bit about me: I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University, a Master of Education degree in Learning Disabilities from Francis Marion University, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. I’ve taught general education and special education at the elementary and middle school levels, and this is my third year as Administrative Assistant Principal. My hobbies include traveling with my family and photography.
I love watching students learn and grow, and can't wait to see all the progress we make this year together!
